low coolant

2002 6.0 HD - A low coolant message popped up the other day. Stopped and checked resovoir and it had plenty in it. Noticed the small tube connected to the resovoir had some fluid on it that seems to have been released from what I'm guessing is a pressure release valve. It was in the 90's that day and has stayed hot since then. Been driving the truck the past few days with no message. Got a little nervous the day the message came on because I had my wife and newborn girl with me. Any ideas guys?

If it was full and you had a low coolant message I would say it needed a reservoir with the low coolant sensor. If you are seeing coolant you probably need a water pump. The pump is the only thing I have seen leak on the front of the engine that you have.
