Downfire sub box

Has anyone found a box to fit under the seat for a crew cab 1500 with 2 10" woofers. I am looking at one at subthump.com but I am not convinced it will fit. Does anyone have one? Right now I have the box behind the seat and it does not sound near as good as my downfire box I had in my ext cab.

it's not a downfire, but it holds two 10's.

I bought a downfire box from subthump. It holds 2 10" woofers and sounds 100% better than the box I had behind the seat.

hello guys new member here found this forum just looking for a speaker box for my truck. I found the one on sub thump for my 1500 crew cab (non hd) and it says the mounting depth for the speakers is only 5.5"???? i still have yet to find a speaker that small except for the pioneer premier ones they are like 3" max.

question is to you lerbud04. Do you have HD or non hd crew cab silverado?? if you have non hd would you be able to let me know what speakers you used or atleast get a measurement on how deep the box really is so i can get an accurate mounting depth??

most subs that i have found are only around 5" in depth. maybe you are mis-reading the measurements. I had some fosgate punch subs that are 4.5" and i just change those to some kickers that are 4 13/16" deep. The kickers are way heavier duty than the punch subs. I got the kickers for $32.50 ea plus shipping at techronics.com. they are $89 at circuit city. here is the link on the subs:

yes i have a non hd 1500 c crew cab. the box is pretty small but it sounds great.

wow those speakers are way underpowerd for what im looking for... i was going to go with some alpine 10's 500 watt rms 900 watt peak. im thinking of raising the back seat up 2" with the seat lift kit and having a custom box made. All the speakers with the wattage im looking for are all above 6" in depth.
