New Life At GM???

I have the new Truck Trend and I wish I brought it to work to quote some stuff from outa there. But basically, its in the article of a concept truck, its a twin-turbo 4.2L 400HP 400Torq lowered AWD red Trailblazer. Bassically saying theres a good good chance of it going into production. A top GM guy said "400hp is a nice number". The artical also said "GM is a very different place now days, even from a year ago. Theres alot of new faces around. And there going to re-awaken the sleeping giant."

I hope all this is true!!! GM needs some people who aren't affraid to come out with cars/trucks with performanrce numbers that will make a dodge for ford salesman crap himself when some asks "so hows this compare to the equivlent gm"... or something. The Silverado SS should be 100hp over what ever ford or dodge has. And you know that this is very easibly do-able with all the current gm vehicals. Theres a concept twin turbo Escalade with 580hp and 580torq right now. Just concept that into the Silverado SS, nuff said. Chevy's concept K5 blazer's got a "Vortec 6000 V-8 tuned to 440 hp".

Any of you know of any badass gm concepts that you'd like to see in a Chevy dealership?

I was talking to a service guy when i took my truck in, he said that the caddy northstar 4.6L can do 12,000rpm all day long with nothing but a new computer. Also you can up the HP's 100hp only with a new comp. and nothing else.

GM over-engineers and over-builds the majority of its motors... When will we ever use them?

ALSO, I want my next truck to come with either a mouse or rat picture or symble somewhere!!!!!!!!

That twin turbo trailblazer that pulls 12's in the 1/4 mile definetly looks sweet. It would be awesome if GM made just a few thousand of these trucks, they'd definetly be scooped up.

It would be very, very nice if they were to take a chance on these things, I sure as [bleepin] hope so. I am tired of seeing all the numbers from the competitor's vehicles.

I really dig the concepts, and hope that more of those can make it to production, ecspecially that K5! :exclaim:

i want gm to bring back some stuff. screw the current monte carlo, it's ugly, get something reminiscent of the SS aerocoupe. also, it would be nice to see the GN return, it would help buick. also, we need to see return of camaro/firebird. K5 would be nice along with a 2 door trailblazer. oh, and quit production of asstek & rendevous, they are a waste of time, money and everything else that can be wasted. hopefully if GM does make a turnaround ford and dodge will follow.

The Silverado SS should be 100hp over what ever ford or dodge has.

I was under the impression that even the Silverado SS didnt have the Lightening beat or that new dodge that is rumored to be out! Much less beat these 2 trucks by 100 hp????????

I really liked the K5 concept, but I haven't heard of anything official for GM putting it into production. My biggest problem with GM is the time to production for concepts. Concepts like the SSR are cool, and I think it's great that they are actually going to produce it, but it has already taken too long and a lot of the excitement is gone, not to mention that to bring something that will be as low volume as that to the market for GM's image and get rid of the f-bodies is a completely stupid move (IMHO).

Notice the "should" in my quote... Sad to say, but ford and dodge have the Silv SS beat, but beat only in HP and probly acceleration. I'm curios to see how that AWD system works on a lowered tuned sport suspention w/ low pro's, truck. But then again, when you pull up to a light with a potential kill story sitten beside you, you or your challanger are not going to give a flyin FOCK about how fast you can take that curve 5 miles up ahead.

GM, I hope your planning on putting enough power in the Silv SS to accually make the extra ~500lbs of AWD nessasary to prevent melting my rear tires the 1st time I take her out!!!!!! (after proper breakin and such )

I think the dodge fast truck to be a huge flop, whos going to pay $65,000 for that. Poor mans viper i guess.

1st, fire your entire marketing department!!!! You wonder why you never sold the F-body? Did you ever see a commercial atleast braggin about it? How you going to sell something that nobody knows about? Even ford showed the rustang smoken its tires on tv.

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SELL A 600 HORSE SILVERADO IF PEOPLE SEE IT AND KNOW ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!! Atleast then you make us choose if I want to buy it instead of you desiding for me :angry:
