hey just wanted to ask if i can put something instead of glass on the back window of my regular cab because it flexes and the back wall also the metal flexes as i look between the bed and cab when i have it turned up loud. Its one 15" kicker square 2000 watts max ran off a 1750watt kicker amp. the cone is pointed at the window with the magnet towards the windshield in a sealed box that wraps around the seats and is made to be the middle seat with the padding put on the box so that some1 can sit in the middle. THats about the only thing that makes noise because i dynomated all the back wall and sides including doors. For now i just keep the bass boost down to about 1/3 if i turn it up it hits much harder just that the whole wall will bow and make noise

Anyways any help would be much appreciated.

oh yah it has a huge metal grill that pops out an inch or 2 to protect it which sits against the carpeted wall that is has dynomat under it.

You have a 15" solo in a reg cab?

That's a lot-o-damn noise my man! I'm getting blurry vision just thinking about it.

You have that much bass, and something is always going to rattle...But I doubt it's the backglass. That would probably just pop out before it rattled.

lol yah it was a crazy idea that actually worked with some fabrication. I tried something this morning. I leaned back as hard as i could agaist my chair and made it so the box was as tight as it could get against the chair and back wall. I was able to turn it up more with less rattle. So im thinking i need to put something back there to close the small gap. I have the chair back as far as it allows but if i move both seats up so the box is loose it rattles alot! But its mostly the back wall that makes the noise im guessing and i would laugh like crazy if my back window popped out thatd be awesome.

reason why i did the 15" because i know everyone around town probably has one or two 12s or 10s and i alread had a 12" in my last truck s-10 ext cab. It was a pioneer premier competion 2000watt and it hit good. So i wanted to go for something crazier this time around. Now the 18" kicker has a much bigger magnet and weighs like 100lbs and needs like two amps, so i thought it be a bit too much so i got the 15. I also have kicker rs componets 200 watt max i believe ran off kicker amp pushin 175watts two channel about 3/4 way up. In the back pillar infinity 4x6 components off the headunit which is any eclipse cd3000 at 50watts.

Any suggestions i would greatly appreciate to let me turn up my 15 and not have it rattle the back wall on the cab.

One word:

Dynamat!

And lots of it!

Yep my whole back wall and the sides down on the floor is all dynamated along with both doors. I put Poly-fil in my box and that has reduced the rattle i also put dynamat on behind the sub magnet so that no poly-fil touched it
