1995 K1500 Steering Question

Turning the steering my 95 GMC K1500 is way harder than it should be, especially to the left.

Someone told me it could be the "steering sensor", I assume this would be for some type of speed sensitive steering. I have no idea where to even look for such a sensor. I was also told I could simply unplug a harness from the power steering pump and simply defeat this feature, but again I see nothing plugged into the power steering pump.

Does anyone have any idea about any of this or has anyone experienced this same thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a truck that old, I'd be checking all the linkages and listening to the pump for funny noises. AFAIK there's no 'steering sensor' on a '95...There isn't one on mine that I'm aware of.
