Stopped by a dealer about an hour from me this evening. Wanted to get a real nice look on the new Suburbans when no one was around. After looking at them real close, I got back in the car and drove the lot. We got over to the other side of the building and saw an 06 Corvette Z06, Black with only 4100 miles. Asking price was $70,995, which was just about 50 cents out of my price range, but it was a beautiful machine with very shiney black paint and chrome wheels. The suttle "hood scoop" and bulging rear fenders hugging over very large meats in the back just makes a man stand back and say "Wow".

It is truely a striking car. It looks very fast sitting still.

I look at things like that and wish I could just blow the kids college education for that kind of fun, but being an adult shook me back into reality and I crawled back to the Impala, kicking and screaming as I drove away :(

I guess a Dad realizes just how much he loves his kids in a situation like that.

BTW, I have looked on KBB.com and I can't find "son" or "daughter" in the list of possible trade in's! Can anyone point me in the right direction? :driving:

I hear ya, I'm a stepfather and if it wasn't for those two little %$^^$%'s....just kidding, if it wasn't for them I'd have to do the litter box, trash, clean/clear the table, wash clothes, vacuum, shovel, rake leaves....I would have no time to wash my truck. Those kids will work hard for a quarter a week

Well you can always look at it this way, put the kids through college and hope one lands an awesome job so that one day you can get the new improved vette of the day. :nopity:

I know, I keep dreaming as well that mine will become a doctor, lawyer or any other one of those nice paying careers.

The best to hope for is that they stay out of trouble and are happy with what they decide to do with their life.

With twin girls, I swear no dating untill they are at least 21.

I just have one daughter, but I am chaining her to the basement when she turns 13 and not letting her out until she is 30! :nopity::confused:

My cousin, who has 3 daughters told me this: When you have a boy, you have one "member" (Rated G language) to worry about. When you have girls, you have an entire school of "members" to worry about!

I feel that he is correct! :D

Wait! You could use the hood scoop as an anchor point for the car seat!! Problem Solved! :smash:

Congrats on the new baby. By the time it is all over, you could have probly bought the Corvette Assembly Plant, but it is well worth it!
