Wait4me gas mileage tune

I have this tune on my 2001 chevy silverado, I put the stock intake back on, cleaned the MAF sensor and I am still getting about the same gas mileage if not worse than with the K&N on there. I am wondering for those that do have this tune, what kind of gas mileage are you getting and what mods do you have on your truck? I usually get around 18 mpg

On the Highway I am getting about 18 now, which was down from when Mine was fully stock.

Now if I reset the computer while I am driving on the highway, I can get it to read about 20+ mpg, over a distance. This is at constant HWY Speeds without getting up to them, as I am already up to speed and going when I reset the computer.

I am getting better now around town though, I am up closer to 16 mpg. This is in a 2003 Suburban 4x4 LT with all the options and the 5.3 engine.

I also run Denso Iridium plugs in it. I had put the K+N FIPK on it, but that killed my Gas, it took me down to like 11 or less. I removed it and put the stock replacement K+N back in, then sent the FIPK back to Summit Racing, and they refunded me on it. I then took that money and bought the tune, and I love the tune. I have so much more power off the start and while passing. The car will now snap your kneck when you floor it from about 20-30 mph pretty hard. I love the new found power it has. The engine just sounds alot stronger with the tune.

I also notice that I hit the gas pedal a lot more since the tune, so this may be why I am not seeing that much of a difference in the gas.

I get 20.2 average on my trip to work 145 mi takes 2 hours 5 minutes and i get better when towing 16-17 mpg and in the city 18.9 mpg have the economy tune and nothing else. Lots of passing power.

Wait 4 me tune is a good tune with a stock vehicle.

Sounds like 18 mpg is the average here. I am planning on putting in 89 or 91 octane, reset the computer and see if that makes a big difference or not.

What was everyone getting with their stock PCM in place? I'm 100% stock right now and getting 18 on the highway. '06 Silverado Z-71 Ext. Cab.

I hit 22 mpg with a stock tune on my '02 Z71. AC on, keeping the cruise set at 65 and under. This is highway. In town, I could never control my foot long enough to get an accurate reading on how well I could do, and I averaged just under 14mpg on any given tank.

On this truck, those are dream numbers :seeya:

Before my tune...I had about 16.5 in the urban driving, 14 at the absolute worse (hotrodding it everywhere), and close to 21 on the highway. of course I have the 4.3L. Dont know about the tune because I have not got the relearn done yet.
