These D*A*M*N torsion bars

Yes, I lifted them.  Lifted them from roughly 38.5" to 40"

Drove it around right afterwords, came back and measured, they settled to 39-7/8's - 39-15/16's.  Fine, I can live with that.

Went and put the BFG's on.  Effectively it lifted the truck to 41.5 - 42.25" of lift.  So I turned them back down, back to the 40" mark.

Everyday since then for the past week, I've been constantly adjusting these dang things as they change settling rates as quickly as the weather here in Chicago changes.

So I've been carrying my breaker bar with 18mm socket and my measuring tape with me whereever I go.

When will the insanity end????   ???

Nope, no rubbing.

I lowered them because my backs are around 41" and having the fronts at 42" made the truck look like an SUV with the back sagging.  Not tom mention what it'll look like when I have a trailer on the back.

When I adjusted mine I measured off the frame rails.  Believe it or not but my fenders are not hung exactly even on my truck...

Why do you have to "measure" them?  Can't you just eyeball the truck?

I can adjust mine with a short handle 3/8's drive ratchet.

Eyeball it and be done with it.

Ok, I see that you have the 285's on........what size rims did you go with. Did you rub at all at the stock height of the truck....................?

The stock PYO wheels.  When I told Discount Tire that they were a little narrow at 6.5" he said "no big deal" as it (at least to them) isn't a huge safety issue.

I can't tell you about whether they rubbed at stock height cause I lifted it before I put them on.

Check to make sure that the adjustment bolt itself is not bending my buddy's adjustment bolt actually bent under the additional stress applies on the bolt. :D
