:) While I was driving home tonight from Willmington, NC and I was about thirty minutes from home, I noticed my transmission feel like it was slipping. I First noticed that when I was going up a very light hill the RPMs went up and it didn't seem like the truck accelerated. I then push on the gas and yup it was slipping. Also seems like it's shifting werid. any Ideas I'm at almost 34000. Sounds like I was lucky it happened now.

Thanks,

Allan

Do you tow heavy loads with that truck? My neighbor's '04 Z71 transmission bit the dust at 35k miles, but he did pull close to 10,000 lbs with that truck at least once a week (no hills though in Florida) and did not use the tow mode.

As mentioned in the post above, take in in for a transmission inspection immediately.

Check your fluid level. If it is low and you are on an incline, you can cause the pump to suck air. I blew a tranny cooler line and it acted the same way while it was belching fluid on the highway. Fortunately, I got to the side of the road before running it dry killed the pump.

Remember best to check with trans hot on level ground in P with engine running.

I got 145K out of mine with some semi-regular towing and spirited driving.
