GM Suit Certificate

I just received my settlement certificate for the GM side saddle gas tank suit. It states on the front "Valid toward the purchase of any new GM car or light-duty truck..." Does the term "light-duty truck" preclude using the certificate to purchase a 2500HD or 3500 truck????

I used one this year when i bought my o1 2500 ld chevy.

I didn't even have the cert. yet. Just the settlement paper.

Dealer took it no problem. Have seen posted elsewhere

(edmunds) some fellas bought 2500 HDs with the certs......

BTW...I only got 250 because it was not in my name, I

don't live at the same address, iwas not related , and I

used my GM card money , and Gm employee discount...

Still got a great deal and love my new truck..........

I would be guess yes. Becuase GM is calling any truck bigger than the 3500, "medium duty"

wow, thats a pretty good deal. what vehicles were effected in the settlement? what years?

I ordered a 3500 crew cab Duramax which should arrive within the next two weeks and I have yet to receive my certificate but my dealer said the settlement paper was not a problem. My brother had sent his certificate form in right after he had received it and it still has not seen the certificate. It has been about 5 months or so.
