04' 6.0 66k miles 2000rpm engine knock

I can hear the knock toward the driver back valve cover. I have taken to dealer and two other shops with x Gm mechanics. No clue. gos away above 2500 rpm and below 1500rpms. No loss in power. Gas same and oil. Could use help

Is it a knock for sure or piston slap? I believe piston slap on these motors is common.

just picked it up from another chevy dealer. They had it all day and are clueless. They hear it and agree it is not the piston slap. They said they will need to break down the valve cover to get closer.

if it is still under warrenty then let them pull it a part to see whats up.

and make them give you a loaner until it's fixed.... and BEAT the snot out of it.....
