Head light question

Those are your daytime running lights. It is EXTREMELY common for those bulbs to burn out. The bulbs just weren't designed to stay on all the time.

They will only come on when you put your truck in gear.

Another possibility is the fuse under the hood has been taken out (assuming you bought it used). It's listed as DRL fuse.

I have 50 k on my 03 and have never had a dlr burn out. Also, I have been running a 6 hi mod which keeps the dlrs on with the lo and hi beam head lights. So my DLR's get more than their share of time on.

Check your fuses and your relays. Normally they will only come on when the tranny is in gear and the parking break is off.

BTW, Nice looking truck.

Thanks.

I just tried running the truck, and lights didn't run.

I am a new driver, so could you point out where the DRL fuse is generally at?

To test DRL's apply hand brake, turn on ign. do not start on and put shifter in drive. Go out in front and check in front.

My DRLs go out if the e-brake is engaged.

To test, ignition on, truck in any gear except park. Either have someone look for you, block the wheels, or park in front of a reflective surface.

Sorry, I have done that already.

The only things left are the fuse and the bulbs.

Gotcha, just wanted to make sure you didn't try with the e-brake on.
