Sorry, I don't do personalized, off-list service. You need to let a dealer replace those seals. Most require special tools to get them in square and to a specific depth. You can't just hammer in a new seal. I wouldn't attempt to replace one in my driveway, that's for sure.

I only asked to reply off list because I did not want to take up the bandwith on the Truck site and it does not have anything to do with a truck.

But you answered my biggest question with stating you would not repair one in your own driveway.

If you've done one before, you CAN do it in your own driveway. It's not impossible. Knowing a mechanic who works at a dealership, I've done alot of things in my own driveway that people have told me can only be done at a dealer.
