Intermediate shaft service

Ok so I tried to lube up my intermediate shaft to get rid of my steering clunk. I unbolted the shaft in the engine compartment but i couldn't move it, so i figured i'd just thake the whole thing out and do it the old fashioned way. I go underneath the dash and the damm bolt is stripped!!!! So what I guess my question is can i move the intrermediate shaft on my 2000, is it spring loaded. Do i need to hit it with a big hammer, or what?. I was just gonna stroke it a few times but not too much i just want to tease my truck not get it off.

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
