Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone knows the best or cheapest place

online where I can buy a K&N Air Intake for my Silverado.

Thanks in advance.

Dont waste your money on K&N Filters there junk as far as filtration, I know several people that had them and other people on other forums that went back to the stock AC filter, friends of mine that had them found dirt and some sand on the inside of the filter housing all around before it goes into the carb or injector body, yes they have better air flow but thats because they dont filter the air like a stock filter, AC was rated the best in filtration. Also the oil that is used to treat the element if a little to much is applyed it gets on the MAF sensor and screws up your air flow mix. They say you get more HP running there filters which is bull, it sounds like your getting more power but thats only cause you hear the air flow when stomping the gas, much like putting louder mufflers on, it sounds like you got more power cause you hear it more but you really dont unless you want other people and yourself hear the air noise which sounds cool but I would rather have the filtration then to be sucking dirt and sand down my motor.

Yea I knew that about the air filter...was wondering about the air intake system though, or is that classified along the same lines?

I am happy with it. Do feel a power increase while under way. Take off is a little noticable. The noise is a little louder. Good mix with my Magnaflow muffler.

For the price it was worth it. I did keep my old stuff just in case.

If you decide to get a CAI look for models with the dry filter element (like the AEM, Fram Boost) so that you don't have the chance of oil getting on the MAF and potentially causing codes or issues...
