Oil Seepage

Well i was bored and i was looking under the hood and on my passenger side head right below the valve cover around the oil fill tube there is evident oil seeage touching the exhaust manifold. is this acceptable or do i need a new valve cover gasket????

It's only the beginning. My HD 6.0 was full of leaks.

I would suspect the crank case vent system not working correctly if you have leaks. I have 4 service trucks 00,01,02 & 04 and none have ever had any oil leaks. The 00 has 203000 mi with only a couple sets of plugs ,waterpump replaced and all are 5.3L 4x4's.

Knock sensors if properly installed to the correct torque and silicon applied around the front part of the sensor to keep water out of the area should do the trick. There is a TSB on the knock sensor.

Being an 06 its an emissions problem and i would take it back to the dealer. Any oil leakage is an emissions breech. Its just like an exhaust emissions failure.
