Was I Hit?

So I was sitting at a stop light to turn left earlier this afternoon. The light turns green and the guy up front stalls or something and signals everyone to go around. The guy in front of me goes and I'm just about to take my foot off of the break when my truck gets thrown forward and I get pushed into the back of my seat. I heard the crunch of sheet metal on sheet metal and everything but when I finally got a look at the back of my truck, I saw that there was no damage or any sign of even being hit, not even paint from the other car. I went ahead and turned so that I wouldn't block traffic (bad idea) and I assumed the person was going to follow me but they never came. I waited a while in case they had gotten stuck at the light, but they never came so I went back out to the street and sure enough, they were gone. I remember that as I was pulling away, there was no visible damage to the car that hit me. I leave my tow hitch on just in case something like this ever happened, so I'm guessing that it took all the impact and stopped the car before it reached my bumper. So what does everyone think? Was I really hit or did I just experience a freak mental thing? Maybe some gears in my transmission went wierd?

I'm guessing the tow hitch took the hit. Same thing happened to my uncle in a parking lot.

last time that happened to me a small honda hit me and my trailer ball cleaned right through the radiator and hooked on and i towed the guy off the road and the ripped out half his radiator trying to get it off. it scratched the paint on my trailer ball and i spilled some of my coke. But thats it

happend to me on my older pickup with dual exhaust, It pushed one side forward about 8 inches.

Now I leave the ball hitch on year round on my 05!!!

Same thing happened in our Ford F250. Some lady in an altima rear ended us and it put the ball through her radiator. Not even a scratch on the truck, that wasn't there already. Another reason i like having a big truck.

In my 79' Jimmy me and a buddy, in a Toyota, were mudding, and well he stopped right in front of me and my truck, weighing more than twice as much, just slid and smashed into him. His bed looked like an accordion and bent his frame all up and i couldn't even find a scratch on my bumper. Gotta love American Steel

I only tow a trailer two or three times a year but the hitch stays on just in case.

here in IL as of Jan 1st its illegal to keep a hitch in a reciever unless there is a trailer attached to it. one of them stupid laws they come up with so the cops have another excuse to pull us over and check us out...

But did your tater tots stay warm? I love Sonic, we have 6 in Ohio, but every damn 1 of them is a 3+ hour drive

Actually, I like the fries better...but yeah, they stayed warm. Only 6?! We have 2 here in Nacogdoches alone...and another 10 or so within 30 miles....

I'm partial to the fries as well. I just love the whole concept and how extensive their menu is. I don't know too many places that offer tots. My friend has a goal of getting to all the MLB parks to see a game, I've kinda made mine to hit a Sonic on each vacation I can. So far I think I'm up to 1 in 10 states.
