78 with extra fender?

Got a 78 K20 with a tired 350, sm465, np205, Dana 44, and 14 bolt. Looking to fit 38's with little lift, anyone around here had any experience with fender trimming? Body don't matter, to me a beautiful truck is the one that get the job done. Paint and fenders only slow me down... And in case your thinking "38's on a tired 350? Yeah, right!" I am planning on switching to 5.13 gears. and no this truck will never see those freeways again... any help, advice, or ideas? Thanks.

Hey man I just got the same truck! Break out the air chisel and get cutting. Probably would clear fine with 6" lift except maybe at full stuff.
