Starter re-engaging

Hi all. I was redirected to this forum via some folkes at the FZ1 forum (Motorcycles)

 

We have a 99 1500 Chevy Pick-up V-6 210,00k mi. The other day the starter motor started re-engaging (as if I tuned the key to start when the truck is running) every now and then. Eventually as soon as I would turn the key to "run" position the starter would engage and wouldn't stop.

 

I figgered, OK bad starter the solenoid contacts have "welded" or fused closed, replace starter with a "new" Mexican strarter. Same thing.

 

Waddya'll think? Bad key switch, ignition switch, neutral/park switch????

Sounds like the ignition switch is sticking.
