Hidden indicators on Delco LCD display

I'm sure for years we've all had this question, but lets verify what they all really do.

 

On many delco radios, with the unit out, you can see the entire display for the radio (green).

 

For example...the radio i have for my old S10 has these characters, which ive seen work...

 

"FM" "AM" "SET" "STEREO"

 

but then there's one i've seen on radios for years...and ive never seen it work...

 

"50"

 

On the two-piece head unit (control box + amp) on my old 88, it had a BUNCH of unused characters...

 

"SOLDSET" "50" "WX" (yes, weather band)

 

 

I'm just curious to know what exactly that "50" is you see in every display of every delco radio
