New Wheels & Tires For My '05 Wt

Original plan was to buy a set of 17" GMC alloys, crank the T-bars and mount a set of 285/70/17 Wrangler Silent Armor. Ended up getting a smokin' deal on a brand new set of take-offs from a '07 Z71 Yukon with 8 miles :jester: . Complete set came with the wheels, center caps, lug-nuts, lug-nut caps and stock size 265/70/17 Goodyear AT/S tires. Got the whole package for less than the price of just tires alone. :shakehead: Not exactly what I had in mind but it sure made my wallet happy, and is a huge improvement in both appearance and traction over the stock WT painted steel wheels and crappy Wrangler ST's. Next sunshiny warm day I get I'll be adding the victory red/chrome door handles and the chrome bodyside molding that have been sitting on my workbench since X-mas. Still contemplating the T-bar crank and longer KYB shocks. Also still need to get the Victory red or chrome mirror covers.

Those are the exact same combo that was that installed on my NBS 07 Sierra at the factory!! I haven't seen anyone else with them yet. They are really nice wheels. The tires are not bad at all either.

Got a chance to try the new treads in the snow and slush tonight. Good news is the Goodyear AT/S are excelent, night and day difference from the Wrangler ST. The bad news, my truck is covered in salt and S#!+ again!!!!

Yeah I am pretty pleased with the upgrades. I'm having a hard time deciding between polished stainless running boards or nerf bars as the next add-on. I like the look of nerfs but the running boards would help stop the dirt, rocks etc from beating the paint off the rocker panels. Also need the GM victory red mirrors and do something with the grille. And a nice stainless cat-back exhaust,GMPP intake, westers tune, ram air hood,fold-a-cover toneau...........Just too D@MN many goodies to want!!!

Possible running board selection

Possible nerf bar selection

Before having seen your selection for running boards I would have said nerf bars with small mud flaps. Having seen the running boards I would say go with them. They look schweet, allowing you to go the chrome/polished stainless route while keeping the paint clean.
