6l Vmax And E85

Is the 6L engine flexfuel/E85 capable or is it only the 4.8 and 5.3s. Also, are you guys changing your oil every 3000 miles or waiting till the computer tells you to

The 6.0 is not flex fuel!!!!!!!!! So NO do not put e85 in it!!!!!!!!!

 

The oil change thing is a big question, if you can stand to leave it in there till the computer says

change it. It will be OK but I cant do it just cant!!!!

 

I use synthetic and change every 3-4 months---------I only put on 6-7 K per year so the computer indicator

would only come on once per year maybe.

Only the 5.3 is currently flexfuel compatible. That's not to say you couldn't get some new lines and a PCM flash and do it, but from the factory, no.

You also would need the fuel pump & tank sensor 8 injectors to complete the job.

I wouldn't. E85 not even available within 60 miles of here but plan on keeping this truck for awhile so it may be more prevalent down the road so I thought I'd ask. Thanks. Otherwise I love this truck.
