Bilstein Comfort Vs. Hd

I have seen where many people like their Bilstein HD shocks here but has anyone tried the Bilstein comfort shocks and if so do you like them. We have a 2006 GMC Sierra Denali and are wanting new shocks for it. We are thinking about either Bilstein comfort or Edelbrock IAS shocks. We never take it off road, just want a nice smooth ride on paved surfaces that is why we were thinking about the comfort series. Does anyone know if the comfort series is that much smoother than the HD or know of a better shock. We have P-metric Michelin LTX M/S if that helps

I have a 2006 Yukon XL 4wd and am looking for the answer to the same question. Coming up on 30,000 and facing new tires and shocks. Looking at Michelin LTX M/S in P265r70/17 and curious about the Bilsten. As above, this is not my off road vehicle and it is strictly a comfort ride on the highway. At what mileage are you changing out your shocks?

I have 3900 miles on the Sierra now. We already have the Michelin LTX M/S tires.

I do not know if we should invest in new shocks or trade it on a 2009 when they come out.

What size rims do you have on the Denali?

I don't know if you're going to get any response to the HD vs Comfort question as I would think most truck drivers would've opted for the HD. While searching for shocks I chose the HD over the Comfort after speaking to the Bilstein rep. They are a little firmer than the comfort however not so much so as the edlebrocks. To give an example, I could feel all the bumps when changing lanes with the edlebrocks and almost nothing when going over the same bumps with the bilstein HD if that helps.

Both shocks kept the truck level on turns.

IMHO don't think you could go wrong with the HD. One other option is to buy both and try them, selling the one you don't want on ebay. That would certainly be cheaper than buying another Denali.

We have the 17" wheels on our Denali. I had thought about getting a set of Bilstein and a set of Rancho RS9000X shocks and trying both and sell the set I did not like. I wanted to experiment with this truck so I would know what to install on our next truck but to tell you the truth our next truck just might be the 2009 Ford F150, we will just have to wait and see what they look like when they come out.
