Sissy Horn

I really didnt know what section to put this in but today driving home the ground was covered in water and had to go through some deep ditches which shot water upward giving it a good clean...but got home walk to house and locked it and the horn sounded real squeaky like it sould be on a honda or something. This will hopfully go away as it drys?

I did not get my horn wet that I know of and now my horn sounds like it is only half honking if that makes sense! Weenie sounding it is? I also, wanted to know if maybe there is connections that I sould look at? Can on come disconnected and another stay connected? Just wanted to find out as well? Thanks

If I'm correct, your truck will have 2 horns....a high and a low.

One of them may not be working, which will make the 'horn' sound very different.

i did the same thing last february

and it cleared out after a little while

so it should clear out

try holding the horn for a while

my friends F 150 did the same thing

its kinda funny

Where are the horns on the NBS? Anywhere that i can get to easy?

you could just get a train horn like the hornblasters have... i think that'll do ya right!

On my 02 Silverado there are two horns. High note on the passenger side behind the bumper, and the low note is similarily located on the driver side. I've had to replace the high note horn already as it completely died about 18 months ago. Today when I got to work that it didn't sound right when I locked it. Thinking back, there was curb deep water I drove though which probably got into the passenger side horn.

I've noticed that the driver side low note horn is located where it is well protected from "spash up". The passenger side high note is similarily located, but the protection is not quite as "complete", and water can splash up from the front tire and get into the horn. As it's dried out a bit today it seems to be getting better... Which is good because I'd hate to keep dumping $40+ per horn to keep replacing it.
