Question, Just What Are.....

.....those rubber flappers on the firewall near the hood hinges, one each per side? Look like some kind of air vent valve. I've seen these on numerous other years and just never have figured out what they are for.

Thanks for any info.

I don't think they really serve any purpose other than cosmetic since they blow around in the wind while driving. They hide the hood hinge. If you lift them up you can see the hood hinge bracket inside.

No it's not!!! It's where you plug in the Flux Capacitor.

Agreed. blinker fluid is code for uranium, which you mix into the windshield wiper tank with water. It's only science. Just avoid going 88mph.

That's where you add blinker fluid.

Thats if only you opted to get the flex fuel option.

That's Flux fuel option, Flex fuel option just lets you use E-85 to fold space and time not traverse it.

Well, I guess I should have been more specific, for those trucks without the optional flux capacitor, the rubber flapper valve I was referring to is actually below the one you guys are thinking about, not the one thats visible with the hood closed.

Wouldn't that be the flux fuel option? :(
