Not in 2008. I talked to people within GM about this just a few weeks ago and was given a definite "NO" for the next model year. I don't know about 2009 and beyond.

 

The next Silverado/Sierra redo is scheduled for 2011/2012 so I hope we don't have to wait that long !!

That's why I didn't buy a crew cab and got an extended cab for the longer bed.

3/4 ton isnt much more money for the truck. Yes you have more in fuel costs and tags, but its a real truck with good brakes, better gear all around, better truck. Then you can get the Crew cab in 6.5 or 8 foot.

I hope that's not the case because I'll be looking at an 09 F 150. I really like the Silverado but can't deal with the super small bed on the CrewCab or the super small useless back seat on the Extracab.

 

GM is clueless if this is the case.

I thought the F150 Crew had the small bed also? I love my 02 1500HD with the crew and 6.5 bed but I wish there was a new model with the same specs. I think their cost cutting hurt them on this.
