Herculiner On Lower Rockers

I also put a whole writeup on how i did this in the How-To Section

I took my time. Didnt rush. End result was real good.

Why did i do it? Because I live in Buffalo NY. Those of you who are near here, or live anywhere where you know the term "Lake Effect" (Cleavland, Erie, Rochester, Syracuse) you know exactly why i did it. 6 feet of snow means salt. Lots of salt. The salt got so bad, it ate holes in my rocker panels. Driver's side had a baseball size hole, Passenger had a toilet paper tube-sized hole (sideways).

After all repairs, this Herculiner just fused to everything sanded. My rocker panels no longer flex with pressure of my hands...they're purely solid. The doors dont rattle as much anymore either...thats how tough this stuff is. Mine is only a 2wd, and i can imagine what it would be on a 4x4. It really looks awesome.

Ive never seen anyone do this before on the Silverado, so i thought i'd share it, and be the first.

That looks really nice. Good job.

Looks cool. Hope it holds up.

What a great country setting. Looks like a killer place for a BarBQ... When are we all invited?
