What Does "clasic" Mean?

I have been looking at aftermarket parts and they always say Silverado 1500 classic.

 

Is there something i am not seeing here?

 

I have a Silverado 1500 that was made in october 2007.

Classc is the body style prior to the new body style for 07. 2007 was the last year classic body styles were made

so when i am looking fo raftermarket parts it should say new body style, right?

It will probably be set up as one will say silverado classic then one will say silverado (as in NBS) . or one will say fits NBS only or it might say works with classic only.

'Classic' is the GMT800 - the now (old) body style

GMT800 2007 back = Classic. GMT 900 = 2007 up.

youll have to say new body style for now, until they run out of the old bodystyle parts to build.

GMT400 = OBS = 1987 - 1999

GMT800 = NBS = 1999 - 2007 "Classic"

GMT900 = NNBS = 2007 - 2012

C3XX = NNNBS = 2013 - 20??

 

Anyone besides me remember the 1999 "Classics"?

You could have a 2007 GMT 800 aka Classic. The first 1500's out the line were crew cabs and they hit the dealers in November. The reg and ext cabs followed in Dec and Jan. Then the 2500HDs were released in Feb. The quickest way to tell them apart is by the headlights the classic has the "cats eye" looking headlights the GMT900 aka NBS have round headlights. There is also one digit difference in the VINs.
