Throttlebody Problems

Hi, first let me apologize if i am in the wrong fourm. I have a 1991 silverad 1/2 ton 4x4, tbi 5.7l (350c.i.) v8 with a 5 spd trans. The factory throttle body was crakced on the section that holds the injectors, (I belive it is called a fuel metering body, it is also the individule part of the tb where the fuel and return lines are connected). I called around my local gm dealers in search for that peice of the tb with no luck. Not being able to afford a brand new thottle boby I searched around the local bone yards and found one off of a 1994 k1500 (that is what they told me anyhow) serial # 17093030. My first question is can you tell me if that is true or what it came off of?

I installed the new (second hand) throttle body and my truck started and ideled fine. I drove it down the road and it ran smooth with no problems but one, under hard acceleration i will bog down a little. So I thought it may have been because the truck was sitting for 8 months. I took it on the highway and when I floored it it back fired out of the tb. other than that it works well. My second question is what would cause it to be getting to much fuel and how can I fix it?

Thank you for your time and I apologize once more if I am on the wrong fourm.
