you gotta have a host site like photobucket.com or similiar. Once you load the pics onto that site under your name they will give urls for the picture. When you get to post you want to add a pic to or you signature, click on the picture button and a window will pop up asking for pcis url. copy and paste the url to that site (sometimes photobucket will add "IMG" at the beginning and end so be sure to delet that all you need is http://.....com) then hit ok and your pic will be there. I hope I just made sense.

Mike,

May I suggest cropping and/or making yours a bit smaller? There was a topic about this earlier and the mods prefer smaller sig pics. Just an FYI.

Ok kids, here is one for you. How do I make my signature picture smaller? I have tried resizing my picture both in photobucket, and in the signature editing box, but when I save it, it is still huge. Do I have to resize it on my computer before I put it on photobucket. Its so frustrating, it will resize it in photobucket to the nice perfect size you guys have, but when I copy the link into the signature, it shows up HUGE., Grrrrr

Hit Refresh or F5, it's showing up small on my computer.

I spent several hours a couple of nights ago with this same frustration. I think I've figured it out now. First, if you edit the picture in photobucket and change it to the forum size (I think that is 320x240) which is a great size for the signature, it really doesn't change the actual size of what the link will bring back. If you subsequently change the upload size and bring in the same picture (which will then be *-1.jpg) and change its name to the old pic that was waaay too high res, it somehow still resorts to the original resolution.

YOU MUST wipe out the pic(s) in photo bucket that you are trying to link, and too be very sure I would recommend renaming the photo(s) on your PC, select the desired upload resolution on the right in photobucket and REupload that same photo in the desired resolution. Then copy the URL like before, which you obviously had down and it should then be an agreeable resolution.

There may be unecessary steps here but I'm not sure which one(s) they are.

You know, that is probably what I could have done. My computer was displaying the URL from cache.

Thanks so much guys, finally got it so the picture is not a foot wide. By the way, hitting F5 after resizing in photobucket changes the url to the proper size. Thought I was going to have to throw my computer across the room......
