Express-up/express-down

Does anyone know how these work? No speculation, please.

My wife's Acadia has Express-Up/Express-Down on all the windows and I am just wondering is it in the switch panel or does it extend to the motor or window mechanism itself.

I checked the 2008 Silverado, Sierra and Denali owner's manuals, there is no mention of this feature in these trucks, but it is referenced in the Acadia's owner's manual. Does not look like it will be in for 2008 YMs. It looks like it is in the switch mechanism (looking at the wiring diagram)

Jeez, I didn't know that you could even get crank windows anymore. Wonders never cease.

Yep. I never owned a truck with automatic Windows. It's not because I wouldn't want them. It's just every truck I like (price and looks) never have them. I really don't mind cranking the windows up or down. It just sucks when you want more air and you have to lean over to the passengers side to crank the window down. I guess the it what the A/C is for though.

I wish I had manual crank windows. I have the auto down deal on the driver only and so far I haven't been able to get the drivers window to go part way down - even the dealer dicked with it for a while when it was in for something else. It's either up all the way or down all the way.

busted switch? mine sure as hell dont do that, I can lower it part way or just click the button all the way down and let go and it will drop all the way....
