Remote Start On 07/08s

so i like to remote start my truck in the mornings before work (duh)

 

but i've noticed that when i get in the truck, the only thing running is the defrost function...

so how come if i leave my setting on (heat way up, etc) they won't run until i turn the forward when i'm ready to drive to work??

Paraphrased from the owner's manual:

 

If you have automatic climate control, then the remote start system senses the outside temperature and turns on either the defroster (even the rear one) or A/C. Once you turn the key to "RUN", the automatic settings return to what you have set.

 

If you do not have auto climate control, the heat or air is just whatever you have it set for.

The only thing i personally dont care for is that, it turns on the heated seats full blast, and i get in and my seat is on fire.

It says my seats are on, but I get in and they are still cold. I guess I should wait longer than 60 seconds to get in though

just a follow up i was in a cold climate yesterday. remote started the tahoe. heat came on and heated seats came on. no display but the heat came on

i'lll try that other thread

and it only runs for what..10mins after remote starting it and not turning the key forward?
