Door Molding Peeling Off

My drivers side outside door molding is peeling off, from the back of it, to the front. Is there an easy fix, or should I just bring it to the dealer?

Bring it to the dealer. There's no way the moulding on an '07 should be peeling already.

Yeah, i hear ya, i just hate leaving it there all day, for what might be a quick fix.

Funny you mention that...The body shop that is repairing damage to my '07 (unrelated to this) has several new Escalades, Suburbans and Tahoes in that have the same problem.

 

It seems that the molding comes off and it gets jammed in between the doors. People have been then trying to open those doors causing body damage!

 

Take it to the dealer, It's a known problem.

What is GM's fix for this? Same thing happening on my 07.

best bet is to replace as they actually warp and any fix will be temporary. Since its no longer warranty you could peel the rest off for the smooth look but in my opinion the nbs trucks look funny without mouldings as there is no mid seam. Look at a WT to see if thats an option for you

That sucks I have a 07 no issue yet ........ fingers crossed. I am a little confused however what is causing body damage? If its peeling? Thanks
