Got Line-x Xtra Today - Pics

Black LineX Xtra, under the rail +++

The +++ means I told them not to spray under the horizontal surface of the rail b/c this will keep the paintless dent guy from being able to work on the bed rails and these bed rails dent if you look at them wrong. They stopped under the rail right where there are some protrutions in the metal. You can't see the line unless you get below the rail. I tried to get a pic but the cargo system makes getting a shot difficult. The xtra adds about $150 to the total but it's a little glossier and requires even less maint. then standard low-maint line-x.

Great dealer, Line-X of West Fort Worth. Very nice people, very enthusiastic about the product, did a great job, sells most of the other accessories I want. I didn't have an appointment but just decided to drive by this morning to see if they were working today. They weren't too busy today and they were getting started on it within 15 minutes of me showing up.

Looks like they did a fantastic job. You ought to be very happy with that.

Getting my bed sprayed is so far down on my lengthy list of stuff to do on my truck, I sometimes can't remember the list down that far... let's see...

1. Exhaust and Cold Air Intake ($700+)

2. Grille ($300+)

3. Wheels and Tires ($1350+)

4. Rear Wheel Liners ($100)

5. Chip/tune ($??)

6. Customize the interior with wood, custom center console ($??)

7. Brighter bulbs all around ($??)

8. Spray the bed ($500+)

9. Bed lid of some sort ($??)

10. Acknowledge that I have a truck problem...

Norman,

I have the same problem. I plan to do alot but haven't made my final decisions on everything yet.

In no particular order:

1. Retint the fron with 20% and add windsheild strip ($70)

2. Clear film/bra ($500 or less depending on my replacement bumper vs brush guard decision)

3. Brush Guard or relacement front bumper ($450-800)

4. Rear bumper ($500)

5. 2-way remote start alarm (not sure if I'll use the GM 2-way and add sensors of go Clifford)

6. Upgrade headunit functions: GM Lockpick, Siruis (SIR-GM3 whenever it comes out), Tellphone 5000vi bluetooth, rear view cam (probably $1000)

7. Upgrade sound system: Dynaudio System 240 up front, 2 10" subs under rear seat, big 4 ch amp or 2 2-ch amps, OEM integration/LOC (JL, RF, Alpine - I'm not sure which yet) - (probably $4K)

8. Ebony Ultra Suede headliner and paint all light gray plastic parts to match ($500-800?)

9. Corsa side exit exhaust ($1100)

9. Westers tune ($500?)

10. Blinder M45 Lidar jammer ($700 + install if I don't do it myself)

I need the Blinder ASAP but must make my bumper decision first or else I'll have to redo the install. I'll probably get the exhaust and tune pretty soon. I will get the headunit functions upgraded as soon as the SIR-GM3 is available. The rest will happen as I make decisions and have time to mess with it.

If you had the rails done I think they would've been more durable for you.

I just couldn't bring myself to go over the rail on a white truck.

I thought it would've looked cool. Still looks great, they did a nice job for you. Just afraid of how scratched up the rails are going to get.

If you want to protect the rails, get a set of the GM red rail protectors,I've had them on my last three trucks,They look great!
