Engine Light Came On (p0442)

Hi, I drive a '04 GMC Yukon SLT 4X4 5.3l and noticed that the engine light had come on when I fired up the engine. The code is P0442 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak). Should I be worried about this? I erased the code and it hasn't come on since (24 hours). Is there a simple fix? When I asked the dealer, they didn't seem too concerned but they also didn't seem to know what to do about it. They had asked if I had recently filled up with gas, which I didn't. And asked if I had recently driven through water, which I hadn't.

The most common cause is a loose gas cap. If the light does not come back on, don't worry. If it does check the seal in the gas cap. If it is ok then the truck's fuel system will have to be smoke tested to find the leak.
