New Infinity Speakers For My 07 Silverado

So i really dont like the stock non bose speakers in my truck... so i went out to bestbuy and bought a pair of infinitys........................so......................................

 

i am having a pair of infinity reference 6022i put into my truck next sunday. I found out recently that it has an impedence of 2ohms. i am using the stock head unit and am wondering if the impedence will affect the stock head unit in any negetive way or the hu wont be able to power them. i might sound stupid but i would really appreciate some help.

I don't have any input on them with the stock h/u, but with the apline in my sig., they sound amazing! I threw them on tonight and I can tell a complete difference. Next up for sound system is one or two subs in the back. Hopefully right after Christmas!

do you feel there is enough bass??

I agree the stock speakers suck ! I had Memphis speakers put in all 4 doors and a 10 inch Alpine subwoofer and an amp under the back seat. I dont think you would be happy with just the speakers not enough bass, add an amp and atleast 1 subwoofer. Only other thing I want to do is get some tweeters for the front pillars. Also I am using the stock HU.

thanks to both people. do you think a bazooka tube with amp in it will do the job. just the 50 wastt unit they sell at cc because of the fact it has to be small because my father wont let me take up the back bench becauese my silverado is the only car with 6 seats out of the 6 cars we own.

A Bazooka tube will probably be fine to restore what bass you're going to lose by going to to the Infinty speakers. It'll even add a bit for more depth in your music. Your truck will probably sound really nice with just those basic improvements. You're not going to win any SPL contests, but it'll sound 10x better than stock.
