Zembonez Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Hello? Is this forum always this dead? Is there a more active truck forum that everybody goes to? Last time I looked, it wasn't a chat room.
dsmazz Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Hey, yesterday I was out of town without access to a computer. Excuses, excuses, excuses, I know, but it's true.

Zembonez Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Hello? Is this forum always this dead? Is there a more active truck forum that everybody goes to? just got here myself wondering same thing nice lookin truck you got It does slow down in here from time to time but normally it hops along at a decent clip. Lately I think everybody is out shopping... ALSO, Unlike a lot of forums out there, this one consists of actually employed people for the most part.... they aren't trolling forums all day. Welcome aboard guys...
Mark_in_Tulsa Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Wow this is only the largest GM truck site out there. What do you want?
Mark_in_Tulsa Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 And just to keep this dead place going I will make another post. There are 4 pages of active topics on here since I was on here last. And that was at 1 am. So in the last 13 hours, half of which was when everyone was asleep, and the other half when a lot of people were at school or work where they may or many not have access to the site, we still managed 4 pages of active topics.
pwall Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Perhaps he was kidding?? I check this forum daily and always have at least 3-4 pages to go thru....and if I miss a day.....over 10pages.
Schmids5.3l Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 ALSO, Unlike a lot of forums out there, this one consists of actually employed people for the most part.... they aren't trolling forums all day. I don't even get home until 4-6 PM. But the GM Full size section is out of control, at least 4 pages of new posts every day. I can post a topic in that section and the next day it will be on the 3rd or 4th page.
gave20 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 The diesel place is always hopin', I usually have 20 pages of new posts almost every day.
ZZ327 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 dead forum? most times when I post up something I cant even find the s**t a 1/2 day later. And I even hit the view new posts button a lot! You could try GMinsidenews but it isnt as cool as they are here. They call theirselves car guys and care about how interiors "feel"
Wingnut Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Actually guys, this forum IS kind of slow compared to some. LS1GTO.com has less than 25,000 members, and that joint is hoppin' 24x7. It's insane how fast that board moves sometimes. Lots of crapola in the "Lounge", but lots of good info too. Very active membership. If we had that many active posters, this place would be nuts due to us having roughly twice as many people. I think that the main reason we're slower per-member than other sites, is that we are more strict on posting rules than most. I think this provides for a higher quality membership. Most sites that are blazing along like there's no tomorrow...Well...A lot of it is junk. "First Post, IBTL, Last post, First page, Your mom, etc" aren't things we generally see here. If I saw childish junk like that, I'd delete it. Personally, I think we've got a great (and mature) crowd here that really likes to talk trucks and have fun while we're at it...So it doesn't matter how "fast" the boards are.
pwall Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 ....snip.....Personally, I think we've got a great (and mature) crowd here that really likes to talk trucks and have fun while we're at it...So it doesn't matter how "fast" the boards are. Couldn't agree more!
