Road Armor Bumpers

These look like well made sturdy bumpers, but the price tag is a bit high. $ 2,600 for a front non-winch bumper? I would expect a first class winch/bumper combo for that kind of money.

Is there something less pricey out there of similar quality?

One thing all of you might want to consider before adding a godzilla bumper to a GMT900 truck.

I've seen quite a few GMT800 and GMT900 trucks come through the body shop that had aftermarket (mostly Ranch Hand) bumpers. When you hit almost anything, the front frame horns simply crush... resulting in frame replacement and the likely totaling of a vehicle that would have otherwise been very easily fixed. Hitting the rear of another vehicle with an aftermarket frame mounted bumper simple reduces the front frame section to rubble. It is a very weak point. Adding a 'super bumper' can cause more damage than it saves. Aftermarket bumpers are also responsible for modified airbag deployment.

Really worth thinking about.

Good advice. It may be assembled from parts made all over, but it is designed and engineered as a package.

I know that the ARB ones are made to work with your airbags... Theres quite a bit of info on it in the catologue, I think you can view the catologue online as well. Not sure about wrecking the frame but it makes sense.

Any reason your looking at a full bumper replacement instead of getting a bull-bar?
