Absolutely Hilarious Email Scam!

I just received this email in my inbox. It says it's from the IRS and it has an official looking header.

Internal Revenue Service

United States Department of the Treasury

Dear Applicant:

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have determined that

you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $270,25

Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 2-6 business days in order to

process it.

Now it's obvious these people know NOTHING about our federal government. I mean 2-6 business DAYS to process a refund??? Hahahaha! If our government was that efficient, New Orleans would already be rebuilt and ready for another hurricane. Try pullling the wool over someone else's eyes. Then I'm eligible to receive a refund of $270,75. Is that $270 thousand or $270?

I got a scam email kinda like that a couple of weeks ago , I sent a reply back saying "Take your stupid f'ing scam and shove it up your azz .

The first hint that it was spam was the government wanting to give you money back....regardless of the amount. ;)

I'm sure the IRS, of all people, would put the misplace a comma when dealing with money.

I would call the IRS or whoever you can get in contact with and ask them. If it isn't real, you should report it seeing as this kind of scam can't be legal.
