Vmax Engine Cover

Did all the Vmax engines have a Vortec Vmax Engine cover? I have a 2007 and it doesn't have the "Vortec VMax" cover....

No,The '07-up NBS "GMT900" trucks do not have a specific "VortecMAX" engine cover.

The GMT800 trucks did.

My NBS V-Max engine cover doesn't say Vortec Max, classic V-Max trucks do say V-Max in the engine cover.

My NBS 07`s engine cover has Vortec across the top

You guys could install the new covers if you changed air intake tubes and got a different mount like the 2006's had....anyone got part numbers?

I took the engine covers off both the Suburban (6.0) and the Sierra (5.3). Other than aesthetics, holding in heat, dust and water, is there any good reason to leave these hunks of plastic in place?

 

Oh, and both covers are exactly alike. I couldn't tell you which one came from which vehicle now.
