Hello to everyone out there. New member here....Stock radio in my truck makes an annoying humming noise when I give the truck gas. Thought maybe that was a sign of a weak battery but the truck cranks up just fine. Any ideas?

Welcome to the site.

A lot of radio noises can be traced to antenna issues. Check and see if it is plugged in properly, make sure everything is tight. The antenna relies on a good solid connection to the body also. Of course it is possible that the radio is on life support... but I would try the other stuff to be sure.

thanks! I will check on that first and see if that takes care of my problem. Other than that, the truck at 173k miles still runs strong.....
