WOW i think its a great idea, but idk about 25-50 horse power im sure you would gain at LEAST 15-20 which could definitly come in handy. need somebody to buy one and put it on there truck and give us a review.

I have a Vararam on my Corvette & it is night & day difference.

If this is close to the perfomance gains it is a great mod.

Since you have one on your Corvette. Do you really have to clean and re-oil the filter every 3K miles as recommended???

This is interesting. Seems to be better than a CAI. I could not find the price on the website though. Guessing around $400 from what the others say.

Any other opinions or someone tried to use one?

I made a handmade tube in my '93 to get cold air from the fender (replaced the big box on the wheel well). It got me 1-2 mpg more and nearly 20 mpg on a long flat drive.

Still this is interesting.

Once I had the Vararam installed, I checked the filter 2 months later. very clean,

As I have a screen from Mercado Industries on the Front grill to prevent incoming hitting the rad.

Anyway after about 4 months I took the filter out, washed it with the garden hose, dried it

in the Las Vegas Sun & then I (Get your selt belts on!) sprayed the filter with WD-40. :dunno:

Why? It is recommended by Vararam.

If you have any questions Contact Steve at Vararam, they have great customer service.

Dont know how well it actually works, but it looks like a decent setup. Should be a true CAI, unless of course is ite behind the rad, which would heat the air before it ever gets to it.

Interesting, they are based out of Pasadena Texas...my hometown...maybe i'll check them out while visiting the family...

I just searched for info on the Vararam VR 6 (designed to fit mytruck) on these forums and mostly everyone said they sucked. Build quality was the major drawback.

Not sure about the one for your truck, though

The one on my Vette is a true CAI.

It sucks forced air right from the front on the intake.

No problems on the build quality.

That with a Tune from Chuck of Corvettes of Westchester makes this Vette a beast.
