Sig Pic Size Crackdown....

I have a cable internet connection, but some of these sig pics are becoming rediculious!! I admit mine was a little bigger then I would have liked for a small amount of time, but there are some people that have almost desktop size photos. There is no reason for that. My general consensus is that my sig pic, and one sentence should not take up more room then my forum info on the left. This keeps the threads short. I find my self paging and paging and taking forever to go through because of these huge sig pics. Also the dial up guys, I used to be one of you, and the big sig pics completely halt dial up. Most guys want to see important issues to them, and its taking a "year" to load. The one nextel forum I belong to bans when sig pics are huge, and another forum has a feature built into the sig editor that makes the image a certain size only. I seriously think there should be a sig pic crackdown, and my internet lags too due to some of these gigantic pics. My 2 cents, but im sure im not the only one who feels this way.

I agree that they should not be too big of a file. Actual size of the pic isn't really the issue. Mine is somewhat large but it is a very small sized file. Some are just plain ridiculous.

It's part of what makes this site run. I believe it is only on the first post of the page... not 100% sure tho.

Yours is perfect in my mind Zembonez, and Pottercon's is fine, but any larger needs to be resized.

I think the folks that have responded so far here have the right idea sig pic wise. Those giant ones are pretty bogus.
