em6788 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I just bought my 2008 Sierra in December and it only has 5500 miles on it. the other night i was driving and it was getting kinda cold so i started to raise my windows up so i reached over and pulled the button when ever i roll my windows up i always release the button then pull on it again to make sure the windows are all the way up it was already doark outside so i could see my head lights well when i pulled to make sure they were closed i notice the my headlights dimmed noticeably dont you think its kinda early for this be happening i know this happens when your battery is dieing is there anything wrong or iit just me
VMax2007 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Don't sweat it, it's fine. The new trucks have an "on-demand" electronically controlled alternator (supposedly saves fuel). So headlight dimming on occasion will be noticed, it's normal. Thank your local treehugger!!!
ColoradoSkiCountry Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 At night i notice my lights dimming quite often, is rather annoying, don't hvae anything on either, radio, or Heat/AC..
saxdogg Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 my last three or four new cars all did this....normal
