Took The Dive!

After getting my Line-X done a couple weeks ago, I figured a nice hard Tonneau would compliment the bed and give me as little security so I did some good research. Throughout my many hours of reading and research I decided to go with the Fold A Cover Elite G4. They are very pricey, but I checked a couple of them out at some local aftermarket shops, and I was pretty happy with the craftsmanship I saw in the product. Usually the covers go for about $800 or so, but Truckaddons.com had a 10% off everything Easter sale this weekend. In the exclusion and rules section, they mistakenly forgot to exclude the Fold A Cover series so I walked away with the entire system for $695 ( no tax, no shipping, no handling charges). They were very nice to deal with and had no problem giving me the $695 price and admitted their mistake. While I was at it, I ordered up a Du-Ha underseat storage bin for $150. Sorry for the long rant! As soon as the system comes in this week I will install it and snap some pictures for a further review!

Here is the Fold A Cover website for anyone interested!

I would be VERY interested in pics of the DuHa storage thing...

Congrats on the price... I would stick with that shop. Sounds like they're honest and above board... kinda rare anymore. :)

Grumpy...............For pics and info. of the 3 GM underseat storage boxes that

I have found .............

This is the one for the GMT-900 x-cab:

Heres the Du-Ha:

I will note that Du-ha box pic must be a crew cuz the floor is different than

a x-cab. So if its like the GMT-900 box its not too deep but anythings

better than yer goodies scattered loose on the floor!

Note that I have the GM one. Paid $119 plus shipping. OK but real shallow and not as

nice as my old GM one with cover

This is the one I had in my GMT-800. This is a bad boy...deep with locking cover but GM wants

almost $400 for it and it won't fit the gmt-900s

My thought exactly as soon as I seen the word Truckaddon.

I had that locking underseat GMbox on my 99 ext cab. It definitely was a great mod. I wouldn't mind something for the 08 crew, but with the Weathertech liners in, I'm not sure what would work as they run all the way under the seat in back.

I have the new GM version for the 900 CC so it does not have a lid, still is very useful and stays put even with the floor liner. It cost me $109 Cdn. at my dealer. I do like the idea of the Du-ha's feature of gun storage. But the Du-ha was $200. The GM version fits nice.

Does your GM box mount/sit on top of the liner? The Weathertech I have in the back runs all the way under the back seat.

+1 for being wary about Truckaddons.com!! I had ALOT of trouble with them on a Hypertech programmer. All I can say is thank God for the Better Business Bureau. Those sales people were not very nice at all!!!

Contrary to some of the posts I read above, I got my entire order in from Truckaddon.com in today. One of the boxes for the Fold a Cover system is a little banged up on one end, but the insulation is still there on the end and everything else seems pretty secure. The DuHa box also came in and everything looks pretty secure there also. I'm gonna load the stuff in the truck tommorrow morning and head to my friends house so he can give me a hand with the cover. I will be sure to post pics of the product and install sometime this weekend!
