Slip Yoke Fixes

My trucks still gives me the clunk when I start off from a complete stop. I have been doing a boat load of reading on the topic over the past few weeks. Nothing seems to be an exact cure because the problem will come back. The only thing I read that seems to work well is a set of helper springs in the rear. Has anyone else done this and what were your results? Thanks

Yea, there is a permanent fix. Get the nickel plated slip yoke.

had a 2004 silverado,, my dealer pulled the driveline, cleaned all the splines inside and out, greased it with I think he said lithium grease, no more probs, put about 50,000 on after that before I traded it off, and still no clunk, good luck, DAve
