I wanted 17x8.5 +15mm offset. Well they came today and they are 17x8.5 -6mm offset. I called where I purchased them and they said these were correct for my truck year. Short version if I want to switch them I have to pay shipping because they sent me what they said would fit not what I wanted. I dunno if i will keep them since they will stick out so far. If I buy flares they will look good to me. Decisions to be made.

Edit: I also do not think they are going to fit.

that is total :(

if you ordered one thing and they changed the order without getting your aggreement, then I would send them back on their dime.

Go up the ladder and talk to a manager, or the manager's manager....

that is just not right... :sigh:

if you paid by credit card, I would contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. Then I bet they pay to ship them back.

I agree and I will Im just trying to figure out what I am going to do. If my tire guy tells me they wont fit and I think he might they will definately be paying shipping.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck.

I'd check with the BBB and see if others have had any issues. If not, this may be an anomaly and will probably work itself out. If you find numerous issues, then that's a red flag and you may want to start preparing for battle!

Im just a little frustrated because I spent all this time researching what I wanted and price shopping and then I find what I want and order and now I have this to deal with. If I put fender flares on(which I want to) I think they will look good but with the negative offset I think they may rub. See what my tire guy says in the AM.

If they rub, make them put in a leveling kit on their dime. They may just do that to avoid the cost/hassle of sending the wheels back.

"Army of Darkness" I love that movie. Laughed my ass off.

On the other hand, I hope you get your issue resolved. It's BS when you order something and they send you something different, and don't want to own up to their mistake witout costing you $ & time.

I talked to my tire guy today and we are gonna look at them on Tuesday he is a little too busy today and I didnt call him yesterday cuz I was a little miffed. Anyway he said it will be easier for him to see them on there and then we can make a decision. I used an offset calculator to see how far the tires would stick out and it is about 1 7/8 or 48mm. So I put a block of wood on the tire and held it to see how its gonna look. So if they arnt gonna rub I will put some factory flares on them because I think it will be good. Again thanks for letting me think out loud lol. :sigh:

Okay spoke thoroughly with everyone and the wheels in my garage are going on the truck. The outer flange will be almost flush with the outer edge of the fender and with my stockers for now they should sit out a little but look good not weird. I am eventually going to add 3" of lift and some flares so it turns out these are the wheels I need after all. So I guess it all works out. I feel a lot better and am now excited to get them on. I will try to get some pics up this coming weekend if I get them on. Thanks for your help and letting me vent. :shakehead:

I was really post whoring this thread :nopity:

Quick question, relating to offset. Can the front and/or rear of the vehicle be adjusted to bring the wheels in?

Pardon the stupid question, but I thought I would ask.

I am no expert but I believe the only way to get your wheels in more is to have higher offset wheels. you can bring them out a little with spacers but that is not good way to go I do not believe. Maybe someone else will chime in also.
