Replacing Cd Changer To Aftermarket (2003 Yukon)

Hi gang,

Just wondering if I can get some advice. Is it possible to install an aftermarket stereo in exchage of my CD changer? I'm just thinking of something that as an AUX jack and a USB port. (without replacing the main in-dash factory stereo)

It's on a 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali

Thanks

I don't see why not but why would you want to have both in? Do you plan to use tape ever again?

FYI Premier now has a deck that does both USB and BT phone a first that I know of.

Yea, I'm thinking of keeping the BIG in-dask main headunit (that way I can still use my steering button controls)... and then just powering up an aftermarket stereo (where the CD changer would be)

OR should I just scrape the CD Changer, and just get a replacement aftermarket for the "in-dash" big unit, the ones with screen, AUX, USB, SD card, etc...? (if I do that, how would I remain using the steering control?)

Thx

Its my understanding that some companies have steering wheel control options but I don't know if that means it hooks into your pre-existing control or not.

On a side note almost every new aftermarket deck comes with a remote that can do more options than your standard steering wheel control.

Maybe call crutchfield.com and ask them, they would be the most likely people to know the answer to your question.
