Interior Swap

Just bought an 01 silverado ext cab and would like to know if i were to buy all the interior pieces of an 07 classic that they would swap over i like the newer dark grey interior and my truck originally has the beige interior, would the newer style buttons and door panels and such just transfer over? your help is greatly apreciated

I would think the majority of the parts would swap without a problem since as far as the dash, seats, etc. everything mounts the exact same way between the two model years. The only things that would concern me is if the switches and other electronics would work.

 

Is color the only concern making you want to swap? If so just pick up some vinyl and fabric dye and change the color of your existing interior; lots cheaper and just as effective if you do the job right.

My 01 had the black / charcoal interior. It was avaialble then. If you stick with a pre 03 dash, everything else should swap over. Just find a good donor and go for it. Some of the pieces could be easily resprayed the new color to save you having to buy all new. (like your existing dash shell). That way your airbags, switchgear, etc are no problem. Then all you need is panels, carpet, and seats.

yeah thats what i was kinda leaning to also about dye everything but i also wanted to kinda update the trucks interior also i know there is not much difference between the two but the little details like the new better looking center consol and the way the door switches are and other little things, i also plan on putting in a double din cd/dvd player so i would need to put an 03 up dash bezel, but i thank you all for the input hopfully it will be an easy swap
