Steering Rack 07 Nbs

I am frustrated. I walk outside yesturday to leave and I notice a small oil spot under the truck. I climb under it and see oil dripping from the driver side on the steering rack. This is the second time I have had this problem. Once was at around 1,800 miles and the oil cooler block off plate was leaking. I am alittle upset. I also noticed last night while I was washing the wheels looks like the clear coat or something is coming off right at the edges around the center cap. I know I did not hit anything or the lip would be bent or something. This is on BOTH rear tires that once were in the front. AGHHHHH What are the lemon laws in Indiana..

Whatever the lemon law, I doubt it will cover a leak, and flaking clear coat. Try the dealer, they may take care of you.

Don't go in to the dealer angry. That puts them in a defensive mode and you will be less likely to get help. Be nice to them, they be nice to you.

I will be nice!! It is just a pain in the butt..I had to get mean with them once though. I had them install the OEM remote start after I bought the truck. I get there fill the paper work out etc. I go to pick the truck up the next day and the bill was $150 more than I signed papers for. The guy looked at my like I was stupied. They fixed the price!

I hate polished clear coated wheels. They will start corroding no matter what, it is just a matter of time. I do not know what idiot made these types of wheels fashionable and why is everybody making them. A cast painted aluminum wheel (unpolished without the clearcoat) will never corrode. I had them on several vehicles before. I also had clear coated polished wheels and without any exception, they all develop ugly spiderwebs under the clearcoat.

 

I had all four clearcoated wheels replaced under warranty on my Mazda 626. If the corrosion is bad enough, your dealer may replace the wheels for you. But they will pit again.
